Eastern Region Festivals

Ngmayem Festival

October / November· Manya Krobo

The biggest harvest festival in the Eastern/Volta region. Expect a full week of drumming, dancing, durbar of chiefs, and thanksgiving. We're the closest nature stay to the celebrations, just minutes from the heart of Krobo land.

Dipo Festival

April· Krobo

A sacred coming-of-age ceremony for young Krobo women. You'll see traditional bead-wearing, dance, and cultural performances at Krobo Mountain, just 25 minutes from us. Easily one of the most striking cultural events in Ghana.

Odwira Festival

September / October· Akuapem (Akropong)

The Akuapem people gather along the scenic Akuapem ridge for this purification and thanksgiving festival. A grand procession of chiefs, traditional music, and feasting. The ridge views alone are worth the trip.

Ohum Festival

September / October· Akyem (Akyem Abuakwa)

A harvest and purification festival of the Akyem people in Kibi. You'll witness a river-cleansing ceremony, durbar of chiefs, and traditional dances. The town sits near the foothills of the Atewa Range.

Volta Region Festivals

Asogli Yam Festival (Te Za)

September· Ewe (Ho)

The biggest yam festival in the Volta region, celebrated by the Asogli state in Ho. A full week of cultural displays builds up to a spectacular durbar of chiefs. The ceremonial eating of new yam marks the start of the harvest season.

Agotime Kente Festival

August· Agotime (Kpetoe)

Kpetoe is one of the oldest kente-weaving communities in the Volta region, and this festival puts that heritage on full display. Locals and visitors wear their finest cloth. You'll see weaving competitions, a durbar of chiefs, and performances honouring the artisans who keep this craft alive.

Amu (Rice) Festival

November· Avatime

The Avatime people celebrate their rice harvest in the scenic hills near Ho. Traditional drumming, dancing, durbar of chiefs, and communal feasting. The Avatime hills are some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Volta region.

Gbidukorza Festival

November· Gbi people (Hohoe / Peki)

A war drumming festival of the Gbi people, rotating between Hohoe and Peki. Expect powerful drum performances, warrior dances, and cultural displays honouring the history and fighting spirit of the Gbi people.

Live Concerts at Hidden Paradise

Highlife Live

Monthly· Live highlife bands

A night dedicated to the timeless sound of Ghanaian highlife. Full live bands perform classics and new favourites under the open sky. A relaxed, all-ages crowd with plenty of space to dance.

Afrobeats Night

Quarterly· Local & touring artists

Ghana's hottest afrobeats and afropop artists perform live at Hidden Paradise. Expect high-energy sets, special guest appearances, and a proper outdoor concert vibe. Tickets go fast — follow us for line-up announcements.

Acoustic Sessions

Select weekends· Singer-songwriters

Intimate outdoor performances from Ghana's best acoustic artists and singer-songwriters. Candle-lit seating in the gardens, soft cocktails, and songs you'll want to hear live.

Drum & Dance Showcase

Monthly· Master drummers, Volta region

Traditional drumming and dance ensembles from across the Volta region perform live. Learn the rhythms, try the steps, and experience the heartbeat of Ghanaian culture up close.

Sunset Jazz

Seasonal· Jazz ensembles

Smooth jazz evenings in the sunset gardens, featuring local and visiting jazz musicians. The perfect slow Sunday or special-occasion night out away from the city.

DJ Night in the Woods

Every Friday· Resident & guest DJs

Our biggest weekly party. Resident and guest DJs spin afrobeats, amapiano, hip-hop, and house through the night. Dancing under the trees until the early hours.
